Jet Airways, in order to improve the connectivity of Gulf to Delhi and Mumbai, has decided to start daily flights to Dubai from the two metros. The service will commence from August 23, 2008.

Delta Air Lines has announced a new non-stop daily flight between Mumbai to Atlanta in the US from November 01, 2008. The new flight will replace Delta's current non-stop flight from Mumbai to New York's JFK airport.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has entered into a shareholder's agreement with Teesta Urja Ltd. to form a joint venture company named Teestavalley Power Transmission Ltd. on August 6. Powergrid and Teesta Uija will have 26 per cent and 74 per cent stake, respectively in the proposed joint venture.
